With the lid in place it's ideal for slow-braising smaller cuts of meat, poultry or fish. The compact enameled cast-iron piece retains heat beautifully and goes right to the table for serving. 1-qt. cap.; 9' x 7' x 3' high. Heavyweight enameled cast iron transfers and retains heat evenly. Multi-coat enameling with a low-gloss matte-black finish. Enameled finish is resistant to rust, chipping and cracking and requires no seasoning. Quartz-infused textured cooking surface promotes excellent browning. Smooth enameled base is compatible with all cooktops, including induction; not recommended for glass stovetops.
